Happy Smiles Foundation – Hope Totes Drive
The Hope Totes Drive is one of Happy Smiles Foundation’s most heartfelt annual efforts. From June 8 to October 30, volunteers and supporters come together to create and deliver personalized care packages—called Hope Totes—for individuals undergoing cancer treatment.
Each tote is filled with thoughtful items: comfort essentials, small gifts, and uplifting messages meant to bring light, encouragement, and a sense of community to those facing some of life’s toughest moments. For someone going through chemotherapy or radiation, these packages are more than just supplies—they’re a reminder that they are seen, supported, and not alone.
The campaign reflects the spirit of Happy Smiles: small gestures, big impact. With every tote delivered, the foundation helps bring healing, dignity, and emotional strength to those who need it most.

Why Mary and Larry Weil Chose to Sponsor Carlo Vitale and the Happy Smiles Foundation
Mary and Larry launched this Think Local campaign because they were inspired by the heart behind Happy Smiles Foundation—a mission built on bringing joy, support, and emotional healing to children whose lives have been turned upside down by cancer.
Happy Smiles focuses on uplifting kids during one of the hardest times in their lives—offering gifts, engaging activities, and emotional support to remind them they are cared for and never alone. Facing cancer takes a tremendous toll, not just physically but emotionally, and Happy Smiles steps in to help restore moments of normalcy—allowing children to reclaim pieces of their childhood, even in the midst of treatment.
To Mary and Larry, this campaign is about more than just raising funds. It’s about spreading real joy, delivering hope, and shining light during dark times—one happy smile at a time.
